Whole and cut produce, including: baby lettuce, lettuce, spinach, cut carrots, cut potatoes, sweetcorn, peas, rehydrated beans, whole and cut beans, cut peppers, broccoli, diced onions, peeled garlic, potato chips and French fries, olives, diced peaches, diced pear, grapes.
An optical fruit and vegetable sorting machine that uses highest resolution cameras to inspect and analyse produce on the conveyor belt. Spray can dispose of colour defects, even detecting the presence of rot and foreign bodies of the same colour within whole and cut agro-food products.
Spray is an octa-chromatic machine equipped with NIR (Near InfraRed) technology for Visible Color analysis. NIR detects imperfections inside the produce, whilst Visible Color detects colour defects on the outside, such as yellowing, damage, etc. The machine supplies Chlorophyll analysis to allow deep accurate detection in chlorophyll-high produce such as peas and green beans, and Translucency and Shape analysis help to ensure a selected, consistent crop. An ethernet connection is available for remote control and delivers statistical data on rejected produce, providing insight into the quality of the batch.
Spray is equipped with an air reject system with 176 electrically controlled ejection valves. Ejection can be a single grading system or, in 3Way mode, can differentiate between pure waste and second grade produce.

What our customers say
Since mid-2016, we have implemented the preventative service package. A recent internal review has highlighted that the service costs have nearly been neutralised by the drop-in breakdown repair/parts costs. The impact on the business is that downtime on the machines has become minimal to insignificant.
From East Yorkshire, Wold Fayre produce chose Raynbow to sort and wash potatoes for the crisping, chipping, ware, catering and seed industries.
