Potatoes (peeled, unpeeled, washed, unwashed), tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, carrots, green beans, onions ( peeled and unpeeled), peppers (whole and de-cored), artichokes, olives, apricots, cherries, oranges, apples, walnuts (with shell), peaches, strawberries and pears.
Optical fruit and vegetable sorting machines that use the ‘high speed double vision’ system to detect product imperfections. Raynbow analyses 100% of the surface of each product, even detecting the presence of rot and foreign bodies within the product.
Raynbow is a hexa-chromatic machine equipped with NIR (Near InfraRed) technology for Visible Color analysis. NIR detects imperfections inside the produce, whilst Visible Color detects colour defects on the outside, such as yellowing, damage, etc. Additional optional modes provide chlorophyll analysis to allow deep accurate detection in chlorophyll high produce such as apples and green beans. The machines have an ethernet connection for remote control and delivers statistical data on rejected produce, providing insight into the quality of the batch.
The machine feeds produce onto a conveyor belt designed to stabilise each item as it travels through both the vision and reject zones. Raynbow can have a palette reject system with either electro-pneumatic or air activation, both using electrically controlled ejection valves. Ejection can be a single grading system or, in 3Way mode, can differentiate between pure waste and second grade produce.

What our customers say
Since mid-2016, we have implemented the preventative service package. A recent internal review has highlighted that the service costs have nearly been neutralised by the drop-in breakdown repair/parts costs. The impact on the business is that downtime on the machines has become minimal to insignificant.
From East Yorkshire, Wold Fayre produce chose Raynbow to sort and wash potatoes for the crisping, chipping, ware, catering and seed industries.
