Cutting give-away and boosting earnings

The Challenge

A leading European pork processor was striving to increase profits by reducing overall give-away in large packages produced for export.

A tailor-made Cabinplant Multibatcher was installed, which allowed the client to efficiently handle portion sizes up to 34kg at high speeds. Precise combinatorial weighing gave the client the ability to produce up to 12 batches per minute with significantly reduced giveaway.

 

 

 

Results

Packages of larger products, such as trotters, backbones and ribs are now weighed out with +/- 30g accuracy. This is a massive improvement from the client’s previous solution, as they now can reap the benefits of reduced give-away and increase overall yield.
